Over the last 11 years our annual fundraiser, Cook for a Cause, has expanded and grown all while focused on our hands-on programming at its heart. Just as the beautiful and productive orchard needs trimming and maintenance, so does our annual fundraiser. In the summer and fall of 2026 we are reimaging Cook for a Cause to fit where we are now as an organization. This year we will be splitting the traditional fundraiser into two delightful, and equally as fulfilling, events! First, join us in July for our new fundraiser: Nourish the Future: A Benefit Dinner. Come learn about our outstanding program while literally out standing in our fields! This classy event will be hosted directly on the School Farm with a catered meal featuring School Farm grown produce, great company, and a chance to see where and how the magic of garden education happens! ​

Then in September the community and our students are once again invited to join us for Cook for a Cause, a newly reimagined cooking competition! This "chopped" style competition will give contestants a basket of farm produce with which they will create tasty appetizers, main entrees, and desserts! The winners will be crowned by popular votes for best taste and most creative! Everyone is welcome and more detailed information, cook sign ups, and ticket sales will be announced soon!
