Volunteer

The Coupeville Farm to School Program is known as a program that gets things done!

We have an amazing, supportive (growing!) group of volunteers for our many activities - be it garden work parties, classroom help, fundraising, grant writing, or committee work. There are a wide variety of opportunities to help be part of this great program!

Become an Associate Board Member

Coupeville Farm to School (CF2S) is pleased to offer the students of Coupeville School District an opportunity to participate in our Associate Board Member (ABM) program. As an ABM you will learn the benefits of working with a non-profit organization entrusted to support learning, inspire creativity, and promote the health of our students. This program will allow you to participate at a higher level within a community organization, help with our various events, and assist volunteers in making positive impacts within the school district. These benefits translate into school-wide opportunities, building community service hours, and are excellent highlights on your college resume. As an Associate Board Member, you will be given the opportunity to sit on the CF2S Board, participate within various committees, attend CF2S events, create and/or lead a school or community project, assist with light duties on the school farm, and represent CF2S at various events. Associate Board Members will assist with outreach to local civic groups.
The following criteria must be met for selection to the Associate Board Member program:

  • A current Coupeville High School student

  •  Have an active interest in education, agriculture, environmental or community service

  • The ability to commit a minimum total of 25 hours to CF2S, which is easily achieved by

attending our monthly board meetings and at least one event during the school year

  • Ability to commit for the duration of your term (October thru May)

  • Ability to interact with local politicians, legislators or other community leaders

  • Ability to represent Coupeville Farm to School at public functions

  • Not be affiliated with any radical, anarchist or militant organizations, or hate groups
