Taste Washington Day

On October 3rd schools across Washington State celebrated locally grown foods. The school lunch program served WA grown fruits and vegetables and Mr. Z, Elaine (our new AmeriCorps volunteer), and Board Member Ms. Paige were there in costume to serve up samples grown by our students in our very own garden!

In the library students learned about the importance of eating healthy and also eating local and got to laugh at the fun fable "Tops and Bottoms,

" a story about the importance of working hard and growing your own food.

The local food fun doesn't stop here, October is National Farm to School Month! Mr. Z will continue to teach students about gardening, hard work, and fun and we'll continue to celebrate healthy food!
